Born February 5th, 1964, the fifth of six children, to Herbert and Patricia Lenway in Milwaukee. Pamela grew up in Bay View, attending Dover Street School, Fritsche Jr High, and Bay View High. She always had a strong and independent spirit and a responsible and strong work ethic, working from the time she was old enough to get a job. She found her niche in food service working at the Woolworth’s lunch counter on Mitchell Street through her teens and early 20's and later at the downtown location as the manager, where she continued until their closing. She was happy to begin work at Potawatomi where she quickly worked herself up to buffet manager and remained there for 20+ years until Covid forced the closure of the buffet.
Pamela was united in marriage to William "Bill" Horning in September 1998, and was blessed with two beautiful bonus daughters Amanda and Ashley. She took great pride in being a part of their lives and watching them grow, becoming mothers to Giovanni, Bryson, and Noah.
Pam loved to travel. She and Bill were always planning their next adventure. She always enjoyed sharing new experiences with her loved ones. They were often bringing along their daughters, nieces, nephews, and siblings to share the experiences with them.
Other than being a wife, mom, and grandma, being an auntie was one of Pam’s proudest roles, being like a second mom to all her nieces, nephews, and their children from the time they were born, truly loving each one of them as her own.
Pam will always be remembered for her kind heart, her generosity, her warm and welcoming nature, her desire to help anyone that she could, with anything they needed, and being well versed in the art of witty sarcastic humor, a family talent passed down from her father and brother Christopher.
Pam leaves behind the love of her life, Bill Horning. Daughters Amanda (Jason) Beck, Ashley Horning, Grandson’s Giovanni, Bryson and Noah. Sisters Jill Lenway, Nanette Sostre, Barbara (Jesus) Narvaez. Nieces and nephews Carmen Montero, Ismael "Dee" Sostre, Dan Schnieder, Corrina Schneider, Shauna Lenway, Jesus Narvaez Jr., Anthony (Tabitha) Narvaez, and Michael (Angelique) Narvaez. Several great and great-grand nieces and nephews that she loved with her whole heart. Many friends and friends of the family that called her "Titi Pam".
Preceded in death and welcoming her into Heaven are her parents, brothers Christopher and Steven, great nephew Julio Sostre Vargas, and many dear friends.
Rest In Peace Pamela. They weren't lying when they said Heaven only takes the best.
